Dan Brant attended the conference "Haiti in a Globalized Frame" held at Florida State University's Winthrop-King Institute for Contemporary French and Francophone Studies. The title of his paper was "Traumatic Encounters: The Reframing of Haiti in Post-Earthquake Testimonies".
Brian Hunt presented a paper, "Phantom Limb Syndrome and Parisian Beur Borders in Mathieu Kassovitz’s 'la Haine' (1995)" at "Real and Imaginary Borders Across the Mediterranean" a conference held at the University of Illinois.
