Congratulations to Lizzie Owens, who has accepted a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of French at Old Dominion University in Virginia.
Congratulations to Professor Annie Tremblay, who has received an Arnold O. Beckman Research Award for 2011-12 for her project "Segmenting Speech into Words: What Eye Movements Can Tell Us about Foreign-Language Learning."
Professor Laurence Mall was invited by the Ecole Normale Supérieure, rue d'Ulm, Paris, to participate in the Séminaire Rousseau, "Manipulations, bienveillance, liberté: Autour du livre V de l'Emile." Her paper, presented on March 18, was titled "Une Lecture d'Emile dans la perspective de l'éthique ducare." Professor Mall will be co-editing a special issue of L'Esprit Créateur, "Rousseau et le discours des émotions."
