Congratulations to Christopher Carignan who successfully passed his prelim on Thursday Aug. 19. Members of his committee were: Professors Zsuzsanna Fagyal (French, co-director), Ryan Shosted (Linguistics, co-director), Douglas Kibbee (French), Annie Tremblay (French & SLATE), Chilin Shih (Linguistics & EALC). The title of Chris' doctoral dissertation is: "A phonetic analysis of acoustic, aerodynamic, and articulatory characteristics of nasal vowel production in two dialects of French."
Patrick Bray & Maggie Flinn are now faculty affiliates of the Unit for Criticism and Interpretive Theory.
Audrey Evrard presents "Le documentaire français repense ses fondements politiques," a talk that she will be giving at the annual conference of the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France, Nottingham Trent University. Please come to give her feedback.
